This policy explains how AI Point ("we", "us") handles personal data when you visit aipoint.online (the "Site"). AI Point is run by Soubick Das, who is the data controller. Contact: soubickdas@gmail.com.
We handle personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and equivalent EU rules where they apply.
1. The short version
- You can read every guide without creating an account.
- Our free tools run in your browser. Files you open in them are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to us.
- We use Google AdSense to show adverts. In the UK, EEA and Switzerland, personalised advertising cookies are only used if you consent.
- We do not sell your personal data.
2. Data we collect
- Messages you send us — if you email us, we receive your email address, name (if given) and message.
- Technical data — our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request data such as your IP address, browser type, device information and the pages requested, to deliver the Site securely and protect it from attacks.
- Advertising data — Google and its partners may process cookie identifiers, IP address and browsing information to serve and measure adverts, as described in section 4.
- Tool preferences — some tools may remember settings in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
3. Why we use data and our lawful bases
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Replying to your messages | Legitimate interests (answering people who contact us) |
| Keeping the Site secure and available | Legitimate interests |
| Personalised adverts and related measurement | Consent (UK/EEA/Switzerland) |
| Non-personalised adverts, frequency capping and fraud prevention | Legitimate interests |
| Complying with legal obligations | Legal obligation |
4. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to show adverts, which pays for the Site and keeps the guides and tools free.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve adverts based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve adverts to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising at >Google Ads Settings. Learn more at >How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
- Visitors from the UK, EEA and Switzerland see a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform before personalised advertising cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time via the "Privacy and cookie settings" link on the Site.
- Other third-party vendors or ad networks may also serve adverts. You can opt out of some of them at >www.aboutads.info or >www.youronlinechoices.eu.
More detail is in our Cookie Policy.
5. Sharing and international transfers
We share personal data only with service providers that help run the Site (Cloudflare for hosting and security, Google for advertising and email) and where required by law. Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, transfers rely on safeguards recognised under UK GDPR, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US data bridge for certified organisations.
6. How long we keep data
Emails are kept for up to two years after our last exchange, unless we need them longer for a legal reason. Cloudflare and Google keep technical and advertising data according to their own retention policies. Cookie lifetimes are listed in our Cookie Policy.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email soubickdas@gmail.com with "Privacy request" in the subject. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at >ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
8. Changes
We will update this policy when our practices change. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version.
